Sustainable Design | When we remodeled our space in 2006 we recycled all the glass, railroad spurs and debris from the old warehouse, installed a high-efficiency heating system and an environmentally-friendly Firestone roof. We even accentuated Sweeten Creek by beautifying the banks and building a foot-bridge.

All products in our showroom are GREENGUARD certified and all our Tandus flooring is 100% recyclable. We’re proud to be part of a team that keeps millions of pounds of carpet out of the landfill.

America Recycles Day | We held an old/used electronics recycling event for America Recycles Day and collected over 2,500 pounds of monitors, speakers, keyboards, cell phones, cables, calculators, cash registers and more!

We delivered the collection to E-Cycle Me for recycling/repair and donated 20 cell phones to RiverLink. Thank you to all event participants!

As a lead innovator in sustainability, Haworth recognizes the impact that green-building initiatives can have on the environment. PBI is proud to work with Haworth in continuing to make significant strides that go beyond materials and products.

Haworth’s Zody task chair is assembled using 100% renewable wind power, which is like planting 194 acres of mature trees or taking 124 automobiles off of the road—permanently.

Giving Back | It is estimated that as many as ten percent of school children do not have food over the weekend and during school breaks. PBI participates in the Hearts with Hands Bakpak Bunch program, collecting food for local students, and will collect Christmas gifts again this year for the Christmas from the Heart program. PBI also actively volunteers with Vision Nicaragua.
